Title: Is there a way to keep the current relationship 'on' so you can use it again?
Post by: royashbrook on February 13, 2015, 18:10:44 PM
Is there a way to select a relationship and then have everything act as if you just re-selected it? Ideally I would just hold down CTRL or something and select a relationship type and then I could use it until I clicked on the canvas or something.

It's definitely a morale killer when I train people on the tool and they find out they have to keep clicking back on the toolbar to turn on the same relationship over and over again.

Yes.

Page 28 of the Archi User Manual:

Tip: Press the shift key when selecting a palette tool to keep it selected.
By default, once an element or connection has been drawn on the canvas
the default selection tool (arrow) is re-selected on the palette. If you wish to
keep the current palette tool selected hold the "Shift" key down when you
select it.

I know what you mean by "morale killer" - when users don't read the manual.  ;)

Ahh! Thanks so much! I looked through the manual, but did not read it front to back. If only I would have searched for 'connection' and not 'relationship', or 'shift' instead of 'ctrl' and 'alt', or, alternatively, just read the entire manual. =P
