Workflow for database plugin

I'm trying to improve Archi collaboration with colleagues. I've looked at the coArchi plugin and the git workflow is really familiar to me, but have a couple of gripes with it. So I'm looking at the database plugin instead, but I can't really follow how the collaborative workflow should work. Can anyone give me some advice with a proven collaboration approach using this plugin?
