Title: 4.9 specialisaion icons, first attempt
Post by: wiebow on October 19, 2021, 20:41:42 PM
I'm working on some icons for 4.9 specializations. I started with technology services and some devices as they are tangible.   I have made a few 16x16 icons that mimic the default Archi style. I kinda like them.

Then, it also occurred to me that it wold be nice to have the original icon NEXT to the specialization icon... It's more intuitive to me to read a diagram. "Ah, a technology service, file." So I added one 32x16 icon (file service)   I like what it does, but maybe it's too cluttered.

I'm wondering if this is the way to go and I am interested in your opinions.

It would be even cooler if Archi had a selection of generic icons that can be used with specializations. Something to select from a drop down menu instead of the tedious image selection window :)

Please let me know what you think.

These would need to be contributed, and with an appropriate free licence.

Well, of course Phil.   I can contribute them for free if there is enough interest from the community, or if you want to work on that feature. If not, I'll keep using them myself :)
