Title: Any plans to upgrade the JRE?
Post by: combat2k on April 07, 2022, 09:25:16 AM
Hello,

I was wondering, any plans to upgrade the Eclipse Temurin JRE used by Archi, from 11th version (april 2021) to 17th (jan 2022), or even 18th (available from March 2022) ?

Thanks,
Dan.

Archi ships with Java 11 because it supports Nashorn for jArchi. Java 15 and later don't bundle Nashorn. Also, Java 11 is LTS so we'll stick with the known for a good while yet.

However, you can manually replace the "jre" folder in Archi's installation with another JRE if you wish. Or edit the Archi.ini file to reference another JRE.
