Title: Request for feedback - should the toolbar/menu items toggle the windows?
Post by: Phil Beauvoir on October 27, 2015, 13:34:45 PM
At the moment in Archi, selecting a menu item in the "Window" menu or on the toolbar ("Models", "Properties", "Outline", "Navigator", etc) toggles that window tab open or closed (hidden).

I'm not sure how useful this is as you can close the window tab by clicking its close button. I'm thinking of changing the behaviour so that if the window tab is closed it is then opened, and if it is already open it gets the focus.

Thoughts?

Hi Phil,

While observing my own use of Archi I noticed that I always seem to use the "close" button on the window tab so perhaps that is more intuitive.

Cheers,
Peter

Thanks, Peter. I tend to press the menu buttons to open the tabs not to close them. So I would prefer, open tab if closed, and focus on tab if open.
