Title: Backup/Restore Archi 4 Preferences
Post by: brain_work on November 16, 2016, 05:44:20 AM
Hi,

Is there a way to backup/restore all preferences so they can be shared or restored in case of an installation of Archi on new machine? (similar as can be done with the Colour Scheme or by manually copying some files/folders to another location on the file system)

Regards,
Peter Bakker

Hi,

There is now way to export/import preferences, but they are saved in .prefs files that you can copy/paste across computers.

On Windows, those files are under: Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Archi\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\.settings

I don't have my Linux box at hand but can confirm tonight the exact path if you need it.

Hi Peter,

JB has been quicker than me  ;D

Rergarding my export/import plugin, the preference filename is org.archicontribs.database.prefs in the folder JB gave you.

Best regards

Thanks!

BTW: I don't need it for my Linux laptop, the question was for my Windows work laptop :-)
