Title: Archimatetool 4.7 and C4 - example model ?
Post by: UlfW on May 05, 2020, 07:25:19 AM
Many thanks for the very interesting article https://www.archimatetool.com/blog/2020/04/18/c4-model-architecture-viewpoint-and-archi-4-7/ !

Based on experience using both Archimatetool and Enterprise Architect my view is that restricting the usage of Archimate to the C4 model is probably really useful when presenting solutions on a management level.

Now when Archimatetool 4.7 is close to release, would it be possible to share the example-model that was presented in the article above ?

Thanks in advance

Ulf Westermark

I first have to get approval and to clean up some things, but answer is yes ;-)

Hi,

This model will be published at the end of the month, just after the next TOGAF & ArchiMate User Group Meeting which will be virtually help on October 29th (http://events.opengroup.org/events/the-open-group-digital-first-october-2020/agenda-30efcea5c30a4b6dafc6e3317a381ec2.aspx).

FWIW, this event is free to attend.

Regards,

JB

Any possibility to post a link to the template for C4 ?
Now that we have 4.9 out this should be even simpler to achieve ?

Thanks in advance !

That's planned for the near future. I was waiting for 4.9.1 to be out.

At my company, there is also interest in implementing the C4 model, and I guess the new specialisation features will contribute to that.
