Title: Linux 64-bit Installation - Where's the “Archi” program file?
Post by: tnporter on February 25, 2021, 10:23:31 AM
Hi

I'm trying to install/run Archi 4.8.1 on ZorinOS (Ubuntu 18 derivative).  The instructions for the Linux 64-bit archive state:

To install, un-archive and run the "Archi" program file.

But, there's no "Archi" program or any executable in the unarchived files (or any of the subdirectories).

How are you supposed to run Archi on a Linux desktop?

Thanks

Where did you download Archi for Linux from? The "Archi" executable should be there. Try downloading and unpacking the file again.

Aha - solved!

I renamed the archive to .tar.gz and unpacked manually (using gunzip, tar) rather than using the GUI shortcut to extract the archive.
