undo broken?

Hello,

I'm not sure this is a bug and likely user error....

Since I upgraded to 4.3 the "undo" and "redo" buttons are no longer active...ie. if I create a new component or relation on a view, I can't undo but have to "delete from model".

Any ideas? I can't see a reference anywhere else to this problem...

This is on Windows 10, 64 bit version. There is a subtlety in that on my workstation I have multiple ID's, and the ID I'm using is not an administrator.

cheers

Hi Chris,

that sounds strange.

Are you sure that the model you change has the UI focus?

Can you see the Undo/Redo options from the "Edit" menu or right-click menu in a View?

Can you try Archi 4.3 in a different context or installation?

Hello Phil,

Thanks for the swift reply....

You're right, it's the UI focus!

I've never noticed this behaviour before though, I don't often drag and drop components from the palette, but that is how I create relationships...ie. select the relationship type and connect the components in the view. This is something I do a lot, and change my mind a lot, so I use "undo" a lot too  :) I've never tripped over this lack of focus on the model in the model tree before though.

Now I understand the behaviour, it's not a problem - but has this changed subtly?

I'm not seeing a loss of focus on the Windows 64-bit version. Can you describe reproducible steps?

After a lot of messing about, I think it's something to do with the specialisation plug-in...

I've also lost the "View" menu and the ability to zoom, entirely. If I remove the specialisation plug-in, those things seem to return. And the UI focus returns to it's normal behaviour.

not sure who's best to look into that? FYI, I have the javascript and excel plug-ins installed too.

That'll be Herve. I don't maintain that plug-in.
