Hi there,

After having some issues regaining access to my (local) Gitlab repository (in which I succeeded), I found that my Personal Access Token expires too soon.
I created a new Personal Access Token but unfortunately I do not seem to be able to find the proper procedure to replace my current (working) PAT with the new one.

Can anyone direct me to the proper procedure to replace the PAT within Archi / coArchi?

Regards,
Rob.

Hi,

1. Select the repo in the Collaboration Workspace
2. Go to the Properties window and select the Authentication tab
3. Enter the PAT in the Password field

Somehow I must be missing something.
I (finally) was able to select the repo in the Collaboration Workspace and select the Authentication tab.
When entering the new PAT in the Password field, I'm immediately requested to enter my Primary Password in a pop-up.
Once done, using the same PAT (my assumption to do so), I got the following message:

There was an error: Given final block not properly padded. Such issues can arise if a bad key is used during decryption.

This now happens even when restarting Archi and trying to refresh my model which requires me to enter my Primary Password.
So my action seems to have corrupted my access.

Any thoughts on how to proceed?

Regards,
Rob.

That error suggest you entered the wrong Primary Password. You could try resetting the Primary Password in Preferences if needed.

Ok, can you please elaborate about the differences between "Primary Password" and the PAT?
I think I'm confused in thinking, I only need only one type of access.

Rob

The Primary Password gets you access to all other encrypted passwords and is used to encrypt them. The PAT is for access to the repo.

Ok, so the "Primary Password" is not related to the GitLab credentials and is something I can pick myself?
If so, how do I reset a lost "Primary Password"?

Thanks, (I think) I now understand how it works.
I reset (actually re-generated) my "Primary Password" and stored it in a safe place.
After that, I managed to configure / use my new PAT.

Thanks a lot for your patience!

Rob.
