Hi,

In short my question is : The same way we have the user guide, is their a guide to be able to learn in which case using which element ?

In long :
I'm new to Archi, and I don't really know how things work in Archi, especially when using which components ?
I'm from software engineering stuff and I'm not really into higher modeling stuff but now I need to model this kind of things. The user guide is good as long as you know what element to use. For instance, what can I use to model a flow where somebody is exporting a file from a software to sending it to another software ? Aswell, how to model automatic pull of information compared to pushes from 2 softares ?

Hi,

Archi has been design to support the ArchiMate modeling standard, so that's what you should start looking at.

Here are some good links to look at:
- ArchiMate 101 - A Practical Introduction. This is still a work in progress but this should be enough to understand the basics.
- Mastering ArchiMate. This is the most complete book about ArchiMate. The book costs some money but there's an excerpt that you can download for free and which covers the structure and all concepts of ArchiMate.

JB
