Dealing with 5mb + archimate file?

Hi,

We have a archimate file that takes almost 4 minutes to load on startup. It contains thousands of elements and many views. The filesize is roughly 5mb.
We would like to keep it as one file, but unfortunately it takes really long to load for everyone. Is there any way to solvce this, besides splitting the file?

Hi,

yes, that' a large file. The problem is that Archi loads all of the file in one go. Long term, this needs to be re-done so that Archi loads the model on demand (lazy loading) but right now I'm afraid I don't have a solution for you other than splitting the file.
