Folder for a model elemnt

Hi Just a quick question.
Does anyone know how archi knows which folder an element belongs in?
I know how it works in the toolbox but I don't know what makes it appear in the business or application folder.
I know it's probably obvious so I thought I'd ask rather than search for it.
