Hi

I had my computer force-rebooted, and when I reopened my model, I could see some views (and probably som elements as well) were missing.
In the same folder as the model (*.archimate), there is a *.archimate.bak file with the same filename. Is this a backup of the model? If so, how do I get Archi to load this backup-file?

I'm new to Archi. Would appriciate any help in restoring my model!

Hi,

".bak" files are backups created by Archi when you save a model (thus it should contains the previous version). To use them you just have to rename them and remove the ".bak" extension.

As JB says, the *.bak file is a copy of the model from before the last save. If, however, you had not saved your work before your computer rebooted, any changes will be lost. There is no auto-save.

Thank you both for a quick reply!  :)
But, alas, the backup-file had the same views.
Time to recreate   :'(
